INESCAPABLE:Remembering

The second book in my Inescapable series is out on Amazon in the Kindle Store. I am so excited! Paperback edition will be out around July 2.

Book 1 — INESCAPABLE:The Beginning is doing well. It is out both in Kindle and paperback. I will have a book signing July 19, 5 – 7 p.m. at Readers World here in Sedalia. There will be refreshments and wine from Wildlife Ridge Winery. (They have delicious wines.)

I’m hoping book 2 will be out in paperback in time to have some for the signing.

Come out and celebrate with me and enjoy a glass of wine.
(Of course, buy a book, too.)

Reviews are coming in

Just wanted to share a few of my reviews for “Inescapable: The Beginning.”

“I read Inescapable and I couldn’t put it down! It was a book that I enjoyed very much. It was a book that held my attention from start to finish.” *****

Loved the plot and character development. The first few pages had my attention and I finished the book quickly. Can’t wait for more!!” *****

“It keeps you wanting to read it more and more. I love books like this. I can’t wait for the next one to come out.” *****

“Ms. Gressley has the ability to get your attention and keep it! Bit too much language for me, but the story is great and you won’t fall asleep.” ****

Thanks to all of you who have bought my book, read it, and have written a review.

If you missed my post about it coming out in paperback … IT’S OUT!

The Red Coat

I have to say I am extremely disappointed in the new site InkBok.com. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great site. Their concept is spot-on—a reader’s paradise. For a monthly membership fee, the reader has unlimited access to hundreds, if not thousands of titles, articles, short stories, poetry, etc., and the authors are paid a royalty based on the number of ‘reads’  their work receives. A percentage of the membership fee goes to the authors, to charity and to the administration of the site. Sounds like a win-win all around, right? It is if you are a reader, but if you are an author, not so much.

There are hundreds, maybe thousands of books, stories, articles, both royalty based and free listed. The problem is there are so many, your work gets buried, and is sometimes hard to find, and so far (to my knowledge) they have not done any promoting of the authors.  I have been a member for over three months and the only promotion for my book ‘The Red Coat’ has been done by me, even though I had been assured that the site would soon be promoting the authors. To date all they have done for me is to retweet my promo tweets.

Does that sound like ‘sour grapes’? Really it’s not, as my feelings have been expressed by other authors in the chat rooms. There used to be lots of conversations going, but now….silence. I have been to the site at different times during the day and there is nothing going on—no authors or readers online. Even the InkBok Team, which was online practically 24-7, is now missing. I think the last post date I read was May 12. Most of the comments I’ve read have been observations on the lack of traffic and promotion.

I am going to give it one more month and then I will remove my book from the site. In the meantime, I have listed it on Amazon.com, so, please go check it out. Introductory price is 0.99¢. http://www.amazon.com/-/e/B00KPW3ANC

Thank You!

I want to say a big “Thank You” to all of you who downloaded “Inescapable.” My promo was a super success….now…if you would tell all of your friends and family and anyone else you might happen to run into, how much you enjoyed it, then, gently—no strongly—suggest they go and get my book. It’s a great read at a fantastic price of only $1.99! I would appreciate it so much.
